Kansas City chiefs have become one of the largest dynasties ever gathered. They find themselves on the verge of immortality with a chance to become the first franchise in the history of the NFL to win three consecutive super bowls.
Chiefs have not reached this position with stupid chance or aid from the referees (despite what some NFL fans could claim). They arrived here because they are one of the best organizations in professional sports, and they have a stacked list with high -level players in each position.
Let’s analyze the position groups of KC and give each unit a note from A to F.
Quarterrière – A
Patrick Mahomes is the best quarter of NFL, even when he has a year of statistically drop. During a season when he failed to respond to his annual averages in terms of yards by passage, touched and ratings, Mahomes has always won 17 of the 18 games he started and led the chiefs At the Super Bowl.
It should also be noted that the decrease year to which we refer – 3,928 yards by the pass and 26 affected with a completion rate of 67.5% – would be a year of career for 98% of all the others quarters of the history of the NFL.
You cannot give the Chiefs QB of note other than a A.
Running back – D
I am convinced that the prolonged absence of Isiah Pacheco was really harmful to the KC’s back room. Pacheco did not look at just after returning from an injury during the week 13. Since then, he has only on average 29.3 yards on the ground per game.
Kareem Hunt did part of the pressure on Pacheco, but his figures are not much better. The 29 -year -old back is only good for 55.7 yards on the ground per game.
Patrick MAHOMES represented more than 30% of the yards on the ground series of KC. This tells me that the runner of the chiefs does not meet expectations.
Large receiver – C
KC’s wide receivers were good enough to help the team reach a third consecutive Super Bowl.
The Wideout recruit, Xavier Worthy, made a name for himself with an 11 catches at the top of the 13 targets. His 130 reception yards in the playoffs are second on the Chiefs in Travis Kelce. Worthy has become one of the most important players in the Kansas City offensive.
Juju Smith-Schuster, Hollywood Brown and Deandre Hopkins did not enlighten the opponents, but they appeared in critical moments with six combined sockets for 106 yards (25.1% of all KC reception yards).
The wide or chiefing were good but not special.
Tight end – a
Travis Kelce must have a switch on which he lights up when the playoffs begin. After finishing the regular season with 51.4 yards per game and three affected, Kelce is now displays 68 yards per competition and already has a touchdown in two games in the playoffs this year. In addition, he almost doubled his yards by reception (8.5 in the regular season against 15.1 in playoffs). As long as Travis Kelce puts his foot on the ground with the chiefs and Patrick Mahomes, he has the potential to play as the best tight end of all time.
Noah Gray safeguard can also get things done when asked. He is a good racing blocker and on average more than 2.2 catches per game this year, which is more than enough when you save Travis Kelce.
Offensive line – C
Creed Humphrey was the best center in the NFL during the regular season, according to FOOT FOCUS FOOTHING SYSTEM. He had the highest blocking of the regular season for the centers and the second highest blocking note. Apart from him, however, the offensive line of the chiefs is not great.
The right tackle Jawaan Taylor granted seven bags during the regular season. Joe Thuney authorized a bag as well as two strokes of quarter-rear in the playoffs. Mike Caliendo and Trey Smith combined for a bag and three strokes of QB in the playoffs.
After abandoning 2.4 bags per game during the regular season, the KC’s offensive line has already allowed Patrick Mahomes to be withdrawn five times in two eliminatory games. Associate this with bad numbers, and you end up with an average offensive line.
Defensive line – a
Of the ten bags that Kansas City’s defense has this series series, nine of them came from defensive line players.
The defensive winger George Karlaftis looked like the match of the match against the Texans of Houston after finishing the afternoon with three bags. He also had a significant impact in the AFC championship with four plated in total.
We must also give flowers to Chris Jones, who was the highest defensive tackle in the playoffs. Despite triple constant teams and double teams, its four assisted plated are equal for the third on the chiefs.
In addition to that, four other KC defensive line players have at least one bag in playoffs.
It is undoubtedly the deepest unity of the chiefs and the group that is playing the best right now.
SINACKER – B
Drue Tranquil, Leo Chenal and Nick Bolton were the three guys who anchored the KC secondary body. Tranquest is equal for the team’s head in the total of the plated (14) while Bolton is third in the total plated (11). After that, there is a big gap until we resume with Chanel, who has six plated in total.
Swayze Bozeman and Cam Jones have an assisted tackle. However, almost all the production of Kansas City seconds comes from the three aforementioned guys.
I will give Tranquill, Chanel and Bolton a B rather than a C because they were asked to play as many defensive shots. Their coherent availability is extremely important for the success of KC on this side of the ball.
Cornerback – C
The chiefing half-back room has a very good player followed by a bunch of average guys who were solid during the playoffs.
With three passing deviations, Trent McDuffie was one of the most disturbing corner half in the league in this qualifying series. In addition, he only granted seven receptions on 136 defensive snaps (eighth lower among all the half of the playoffs).
Jaylen Watson abandoned three catches and has only one passing from the playoff. Meanwhile, Joshua Williams and Christian Roland-Wallace combined for two solo plated.
If it was not for Trent McDuffie, the KC’s corner room would be the weakest unit of the team.
Security – A
Although he sometimes aligns himself with Nickel, Chamarri Conner made the difference as security with 14 plated in total, a bag and a forced escape. Simultaneously, Justin Reid has 12 plated to go with a break in pass as well as four pressures, most of the safety of the playoffs.
These two guys alone would be a large security room. But the Chiefs still have Bryan Cook, Jaden Hicks and Nazeeh Johnson, who combined 24 plated in two games.
The chefs have players at all levels in the security position. This could express trouble for Jalen Hurts and the Eagles of Philadelphia, who rank last passing through the playoffs (138.7 yards per match).
