Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Rogers praised Thomas Tuchel’s “aura” and revealed how the New England manager wants the players to feel more connected to each other before the first game of the German in charge on Friday.
England welcomed Albania during a World Cup qualification match in 2026 in Wembley before welcoming London in London three days later.
Rogers, who won his first cap in England against Greece in November under the acting manager Lee Carsley, was appointed to the first team of Lions in Tuchel, which also includes the Rogers teammate Marcus Rashford.
This is the presence of the 51 -year -old German manager, who won 11 major trophies, including the Champions League with Chelsea in 2021, that the dynamic midfielder said he was forced to wear a costume and equality for his first interaction with Tuchel, a 15 -minute zoom call a few weeks ago.
“When I met him, his aura and his behavior, it is difficult to explain but he already has this level of confidence, this level of respect,” said Rogers.
“You can see how it is, the way it acts. He was so refrigerated and calm. But when it’s time to work, it’s time to work.
“You know what he did in the game and the respect he has obtained from managers and players with whom he worked. You know he comes with serious ideas and it is a question of taking it on board and learning it.”

Rogers revealed that communication is an area that Tuchel has highlighted to improve the England team under their management.
“It’s not going to be perfect. It was a question of staying together and being together as one, and talking to people,” said Rogers.
“Just talk and be on this same page, it’s a huge difference when you play.
“I know that from the first hand. Being in the clubs in which I went, having the leaders I had in the locker room and on the field, having this person who is constantly talking to you certainly helps me. This helps you get through sticky moments. ”
Rogers, who scored seven goals for the Unai Emery team in the league this season, added that Tuchel had been “very clear and transparent” at a team meeting.
The 22 -year -old said: “The main thing I made from the part of love and the commitment he wants from us in us, how he wants us to be a family, how he wants us to be close and connected”, “
“The presence is a little different. Some managers have different ways about them. Admittedly, its aura is the one I have not known before. It is different from what I had to do before.”
