One of the late presidents Jimmy CarterOne of Michael Jackson’s most notable contributions that shaped modern America was his work to transform the commercial airline industry.
Although Carter is known for his various humanitarian, economic, and unity efforts, one of his major efforts has been championing the deregulation of the commercial airline industry in order to improve the passenger experience and create travel by plane at an affordable price for the average American worker.
The former president signed the bipartisan Airline Deregulation Act on October 24, 1978, to prohibit “states from regulating the price, route, or service of an air carrier for the purpose of maintaining competitive travel national commercial airlines.
After the bill was signed into law, airlines were allowed to choose their own routes and determine how much they would charge passengers for airfares.

Carter was sworn in as the 39th President of the United States in 1977 and was the oldest president to ever live, aged 100 when he died.

“I’ve had a wonderful life, I have thousands of friends, I’ve had an exciting, adventurous and rewarding existence,” Carter previously said while reflecting on his life.
As governor of Georgia in 1975, Carter decided to take his political career one step further: to the White House. The Democrat defeated then-incumbent President Gerald Ford in a race won by 297 votes to 241.

From the beginning, he always had a compassionate heart and relied on his Christian faith throughout his life, a trait that left a lasting mark on his presidency and his life after leaving office.
“Obviously, I prayed about it. I didn’t ask God to let me live, but I simply asked God to give me a proper attitude toward death. And I discovered that I was absolutely and completely comfortable with death. “It doesn’t really matter to me whether I’m dead or alive,” Carter said, according to CBS News.
“Since that time, I have been absolutely convinced that my Christian faith includes complete confidence in life after death. So I will live again after I die – I don’t know what form I will take, or whatever, but I I trust that there is a God, that He is all-powerful, that He keeps His promises, and that He promises life after death.

The former president died on Sunday at the age of 100 after being moved to a hospice facility in February 2023 to spend his time. remaining time at home.
