Newcastle United Manager Eddie Howe greeted the man in the match Dan Burn as “Colossus” and said his team had broken the new field with their 2-1 victory on Liverpool in the EFL Cup final.
The Magpies put an end to their expectations of 70 years for a major domestic trophy, and the expectation of 56 years for a major trophy of all kinds, as a burn head and a superb reporting to near Alexander Isak won a deserved victory in Wembley, despite a goal in time of Federico Chiesa, asserting the nerves of lead and Newcastle shelter.
Burn, called in the England team for the first time at the age of 32, was exceptional by delusional Liverpool’s attack alongside his colleague Center SCHR, and Howe was quick to rent the local hero while his side celebrated their name in Newcastle folklore.

Newcastle had undergone a 2-0 defeat against Liverpool on February 26 in the Premier League. Asked about this match, Howe had admitted that he had deliberately refused to show his cards in a competition in which his team was much less ambitious.
Howe was finally proven that he had the perfect game plan, his more direct style and the energy of his team and the pressing helping to smother the most dreaded attack on English football.
“The two teams were quite direct and we managed this very well,” added Howe.
“No one wanted to make a mistake, there was not many pretty football, but we were effective in both boxes.
“We did not want to show our hand when we played them a few weeks ago, we still wanted to win this match that we just did it in a different way.”
But Howe would not be attracted to the word of his inheritance and where Newcastle could go from here, the Magpies always looking for the qualification in the Champions League via the Premier League.
“I want to take advantage of it first,” said Howe. “I’m still about tomorrow but I will put the coaches for a few days.”
