Ivan Juric admits that he does not know if he will be in charge of Southampton next season and admitted that he had “not done good” in St Mary’s.

Reports emerged this week that the saints aligned a move for the boss of Sheffield on Wednesday Danny Rohl, regardless of the division in which they were in summer. Rohl is a former Southampton assistant and the club would have approached Wednesday before appointing Juric.

The South Coast Club is at the bottom of the Premier League with only nine points of 27 games, 13 security drift.

Juric replaced the dismissed Russell Martin in December after having sent himself by Roma a month earlier after only 12 games in charge.

Juric “living in the moment”

Asked about his future before the intimidating trip on Saturday to Liverpool leaders, the Croatian said: “I don’t know. As I said, I live in the moment and I think of Liverpool, not what is going on or not in the future. I can do my job and try to do my best. That’s it.

“This is normal for each manager when you have results and everything is good and when you have no results, you and the club have doubts. It is a normal situation and I am used to it. For each manager, it’s nothing special.

Honest juric on his own performance

Juric lost all of his 10 championship games except one and admits that it was not easy.

He added: “I did not do good, he has [been] bad. I think there are a lot of situations. I think it’s a bit like everyone’s fault.

“But if I think of my work, of course, I’m not happy, I’m not satisfied. I expected much more. When things went wrong, it’s everyone’s fault.

“Not the team or me or the club, it’s everyone’s fault. We have nine points. With Russell Martin, they made five and then four.

“My fault and the others, so it is not important to think about it. It is only important that we have to prepare for the game.

“We have to do our best at the end of the season. Then you will see what will happen. It’s not easy to lose in games.

“But as I have already said, for my young players, it’s a great experience. I must be hard. I must think that something good can happen in these bad times. »»

If there was good news for Juric, this is the fact that his team will have four players in Anfield with Kyle Walker-Peters, Adam Lallana, Jan Bednarek and Lesley Ugochuukwu all available.
