Manav Sharma, a main part of the process at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), recorded a video before ending his life, blaming his wife and calling for stronger legal protections for men. However, his wife, Nikita Sharma, denied allegations, pointing to his history of alcohol and autumutilation.

“On the day of his death by suicide, he had dropped me into my maternal house. Whatever the claims he has made about my subject, this is my past. It is not linked to anything after our marriage, ”she told Etv Bharat.

Nikita alleged that Manav had tried to commit suicide several times before and that she had personally intervened to save him at least three times. She also accused her family of having ignored her mental health problems, despite her repeated warnings.

Manav, 25, had married Nikita in 2024 to Agra, and the couple moved to Mumbai in February 2025. In his video, which became viral, he expressed deep distress in front of his marriage, accusing his wife of infidelity.

“It is for the authorities. The law must protect men … My wife was involved with another man … but what can I do? This no longer matters, “he said.

He also talked about attempts at previous suicide, showing scars on the wrist and made a final plea: “Think of men. I’m sorry, everyone … they become very alone. His last words included a request: “Do not touch my parents after my death.”

The FIR, filed with the Sadar Bazaar police station, highlights the tense relationship between the couple, according to Ani. The authorities are currently examining the allegations on both sides as part of their investigation.

The video surfaced on social networks on February 27, attracting the attention of the AGRA police. The DCP AGRA Suraj Rai confirmed: “By learning about the video, a case was recorded in the relevant sections within the framework of a complaint”. He assured that all the allegations would be investigated in depth.
