A woman from Bengaluru accused an employee of the popular restaurant Anand Sweets & Savouries of filming it without consent in the toilets of her Koramangala point of sale. The incident would have taken place on April 25 around 8 pm and has since triggered an online storm after the woman, who goes through the Instagram handle “Itskrithu”, published a detailed account of the heartbreaking meeting.

She wrote that by entering the toilet, she noticed that the wall facing the chest of drawers was partially in fiberglass and wood. “I hit the fiberglass and decided to crouch and look through the wooden bands. It was then that I saw a phone placed on the other side, “she said. “I looked at my hand to check if it was a reflection, but I didn’t keep a phone, only my menstrual cup. When I looked again, I saw the phone move. It was then that I realized that I was recorded. ”

Panchy but determined, she called her friend and confronted the staff, demanding to check their phones. When she was not satisfied with their answer, she called the police. Before their arrival, the duo examined video surveillance images and identified the accused, a technician hired through a third -party agency, who had fled at the rear exit. He was taken to the police station before 9:10 p.m.

“During the next three hours, the accused continued to deny everything,” she said. “Around 1 a.m. on April 26, after repeated interrogations, he admitted it.”

Despite the filing of a FIR, she said that the employees and even a senior business official tried to persuade her to remove the complaint. “Mr. Ramesha, the regional director, met me and said things as I got back in a few weeks. He said he had seen me as a girl but also urged forgiveness. No father would do that.”

She also allegedly alleged that Mr. Ramesha had blocked the exit as she was trying to leave the room in tears, asking a staff member to convince her to drop the case.

Anand Sweets & Savouries published a statement saying: “We are deeply disturbed by the incident … The responsible person was a technician contracted for maintenance … We are fully determined to support the assigned party and report the question to the competent authorities.”

In her follow -up article, the woman shared an image of the accused images and video surveillance showing access to the stairs near the toilet. She concluded her message with a message: “Every woman there: you are not paranoid to check. You do not react excessively to express themselves.”
