The International Boxing Association (IBA) is proud to be the only international federation committed to protecting the rights of athletes from around the world and maintaining the integrity of female sports. The president of the executive of the President of the United States, Donald Trump, “keeping men outside female sports” proves that IBA has remained firm, rightly protecting women’s boxers from unfair competition.

In light of the problems of eligibility between the sexes surrounding boxers in 2022 and 2023, the IBA carried out all the necessary tests proactively and subsequently prohibited the individuals deemed ineligible to participate in the competitions of women. Despite the notification of the IOC on the disqualification of Imane khelif And Lin Yu-Ting, the IOC ignored this critical information, allowing the two athletes to participate in qualifications and, finally, in the 2024 Olympic Games, where they obtained gold medals, denying the opportunities to deserve female athletes .

Consequently, the IBA files an official complaint with the Attorney General in Switzerland, Mr. Stefan Blätter, concerning the actions of the IOC which facilitated the participation of these ineligible athletes in the 2024 Olympic boxing tournament in Paris. According to Swiss law, any action or inaction which presents a security risk for the participants in the competition justifies an investigation and can serve as a reason for criminal proceedings. In addition, similar complaints must be filed with prosecutors of France and the United States.

“President Trump’s order to prohibit transgender athletes from female sport validates IBA efforts to protect the integrity of female sports,” said IBA president Umar Kremlev. “Our actions aim to ensure gender equality in boxing. We urge other international federations to follow the example of IBA, because we are unique to solve this problem and defend the rights of our athletes.

President Kremlev also encouraged boxers who were affected by the CIO’s decision to allow Khelif and Lin to participate in the Paris 2024 qualification tournament or in Olympic boxing events to continue a legal action against the president of CIO, Thomas Bach, the sports director Kit McConnell and their respective teams.

“IBA will provide free full legal legal support to our boxers in these prosecution, because it is a clear violation of human rights, an indignation towards females, and simply a crime which should be punished accordingly. In my personal opinion, Thomas Bach should assume full responsibility for this, because he was in charge when this happened, and he must compensate the accusations caused, if the court or any other body the rule, “said the President Kremlev.

For the future, IBA will ensure the implementation of strict measures during the next Women’s Boxing World Championships in NiÅ¡ to preserve the integrity of competitions, with particular emphasis on gender eligibility verification. This initiative underlines the dedication of IBA to provide a fair and fair sports environment to all athletes.
