Gurmeet Chadha, general partner and CIO at Compriccle, believes that governments that favor middle -class owners and small businesses will see significant economic and political gains.
In an article on X (formerly Twitter), Chadha said: “If you show faith in the middle class and small businessmen, you will be rewarded economically and ultimately politically. They are the backbone of the nation. A good economy is never bad policy. His comment attracted a generalized support online.
The post coincided with the BJP victory in the Delhi assembly elections, marking the return of the ruling party in the capital after 27 years. The BJP obtained 48 seats, while the Aam Aadmi (AAP) ruling party only succeeded in the Assembly of 70 members.
Chadha’s observation resonated with a lot, strengthening the link between solid economic policies and political success.
Several users have echoed Chadha’s views. One of them wrote: “Very true and well said, a recent change in the new tax regime was a stroke and the end result is before us – the election of Delhi. Nifty will also applaud on Monday 💚. »»
Another user commented: “Absolutely sir.! The strength of a nation lies in its hardworking middle class, small entrepreneurs that stimulate economic growth, innovation and prosperity. A flourishing middle class means a stronger nation, and good governance that supports them will always find people’s confidence. »»
A third added: “The parties should focus on this population band in order to increase the size of the base by focusing on poverty.”
