Lucas Bergvall says that receiving the praise from Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, is a pleasant experience.
The young Tottenham midfielder obtained the admiration of the Spanish coach following his impressive display against City at the end of February, despite the spurs at a 1-0 defeat at home.
While Tottenham endured a frustrating evening, Bergvall’s performance in the midfielder stood out as a highlight for the side of Angel Postcoglou.
Its impact on the game drew the attention of Guardiola, who spoke strongly of the Swedish international during his post-match press conference.

Currently in international service with Sweden, Bergvall has been asked about Guardiola’s remarks and has shared his point of view on the reception of such recognition.
“Of course, it’s fun, but overall, it doesn’t really matter,” he told SVT Sport. “I’m just trying to play football and develop myself all the time and help the team. It’s always fun to praise and you should take it. But I try not to put the accent on this subject. ”
Despite Tottenham’s difficulties this season, the club seated in 14th place in the Premier League, the emergence of Bergvall and his compatriot Archie Gray provided a certain optimism.
