In a really strange touch of events, Clay I just became the most anticipated film in the DCU. Of course, the next Superman The film looks fun, but we have seen the tights and the flights of the man of steel on the big screen several times; what we not See is a prestigious horror film written by Midnight mass Maestro Mike Flanagan and Don’t talk about evil Director James Watkins. Creative powers behind the Clay The film is proof that James Gunn has learned DCEU failures and is ready to create adult comics films that are not only exercises in an Edgelord nonwest.
Rights James Gunn DCEU RIGHT

To understand the meaning of Clayface to DCU of James Gunn, it is important to look back which made the DCEU such a colossal break. Retrospectively, the biggest problem of Cinematic Universe was his attempt to position himself as a more serious alternative to Wonder. Fundamentally, if the MCU Was filled with family superheroes, the DCEU would be filled with avant-garde stories radiated by even more awake characters.
This idea works on paper. After all, the best way for a new cinematographic universe to succeed is to differentiate itself from its greatest competitor. The problem, however, is that “upset” has given way to “Edgelord” almost from the very beginning: the initial adventure of Superman ends with him which murdered Zod, for example, and only after their fight almost overthrew all the Metropolis buildings. Later, the DCEU tried to light up by bringing Buffy The Vampire Slayer Creator Joss Whedon to reissue Zack Snyder Justice LeagueBut this CGI Mustache concealment film was so bad that the studio finally gave up and released Snyder’s original film.
In other words, this cinematographic universe has gone from the down to the family and again, and it was soon clear that Warner Bros. threw everything against the wall and saw what is stuck. It was honestly embarrassing to watch, but like a Dc Surface, Clayface excited me. The big names attached to this story of nasty origin provide provisional proof that James Gunn learned from DCEU’s failure and can finally deliver a serious alternative to the MCU which does not constantly cringe deeply in our seats.

Although the exact details of the story are unknown, it is strongly rumor that Clay will be a horror / thriller written around the tragic story of the title character. It is also unknown to which version of the villain that we will see, because it is unlikely that this serious film depicts it like The Walking Mud Man that we see in cartoons like Batman: The animated series And Harley Quinn. It seems to be a very serious vision of a character with a major pathos, and he is given to life by Mike Flanagan and James Watkins, two major actors in the kind of horror.
Although it illustrates how James Gunn knows how to bring together the talents of killers, how does it all prove that he has learned from DCEU failures? In short, it seems that we will start to obtain serious alternatives to the MCU who treat their characters and their audience with equal dignity. It is certainly a very Low bar, but not so long ago that Warner Bros. Suicide team and bone vanity projects like Black Adam… Compared to these films, ClayHe has the potential to transform comic book films as we know them.

Given the current state of Marvel, James Gunn chose the best time to give us a more mature alternative to the failure of the DCEU. The MCU has become a swollen waste with perplexed stories and casting of waterfalls, as the bizarre decision to bring Robert Downey Jr. back as a Doctor Doom. If the DCU can hit the floor on the ground with films like Clay And remind the public the potential of comics films, then Warner Bros. could finally solve the persistent problem of the fatigue of superheroes, which could well prevent an entire genre from following the West at a cinematographic non-elevation sunset.
