Jennifer Lopez Leaves Out Ben Affleck From Her 2024 Recap Amid Divorce

In the mixed video, the actress showcased only special moments from her year, including cover shoots, performances, first appearances, and award shows.

Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from the “Accountant” star in August, and the duo is still negotiating the separation.

After facing a whole year, Jennifer Lopez took to her Instagram page to share moments from her life as a commemorative reflection of how she spent 2024.

The video montage featured highlights from cover shoots, performances, debut appearances and award shows. However, the actress notably left aside her future ex-husband, Ben Affleck.

Even in segments featuring her documentary “This Is Me…Now: A Love Story,” Affleck was noticeably absent, despite the project being inspired by her romance with the actor.

Clearly, this was an intentional omission on the part of the “Atlas” star and signaled that she was ready to leave the emotional weight of her ongoing divorce behind as she begins the new year.

This was further suggested in one of the highlights, where she could be seen saying, “In my moments of depression, I learned to just feel the feelings and let them go.”

Lopez used the video to signal to fans her determination to reach new heights in the coming year, proclaiming, “The best is yet to come.”

Unsurprisingly, they responded with words of encouragement in the comments section, expressing their excitement for what the singer has in store for them.

One fan commented, “I love you! It’s been a tough year, but we’re so excited for 2025,” while another mentioned, “Here’s to an even bigger and better year! It’s she… 2025.”

A third fan commented: “You have done wonders this year. I am so proud of you. You are my great inspiration. I know 2025 will be your big year, the best is yet to come!”

Another Instagram user mentioned, “The best is yet to come! It’s been a tough year, but you are UNSTOPPABLE! We love you so much and we’re about to make it in this recap. Let’s go, 2025 !!”

Another person wrote: “You are truly Unstoppable! I can’t wait to see what you accomplish next.”

According to the Daily MailLopez and Affleck met for lunch the Sunday before Christmas at the members-only Soho House in West Hollywood.

The “Jenny From The Block” singer donned a cozy oversized cardigan and baggy blue jeans for the date and reportedly exchanged gifts with the “Argo” actor despite filing for divorce in August.

The same day, Affleck was also spotted picking up his son at his ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s four-bedroom Brentwood Park home, worth $7.8 million.

This comes after a source said Page six last week, the exes “have every intention of continuing to be in each other’s lives even if they don’t have a romantic relationship.”

The source added, “Ben and Jennifer are still connected and they communicate when it concerns their children.”

Before the recap, Lopez hinted at her plans for the new year, which include “pushing my limits creatively and seeing where that takes me,” according to the Daily Mail.

As a multi-caster, the actress explained that these projects extend across all of her ventures, “whether it’s through acting, music or producing or developing JLo Beauty.”

She added: “I want to continue to challenge myself to grow and try new things while staying true to who I am and those I love.”

The actress already has several projects in the works, including the release of the musical “Kiss of the Spider Woman.”

Lopez stars in the lead role and is also an executive producer, with Bill Condon directing the project. The film is expected to debut at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2025, although production wrapped earlier this year.

Earlier this month, sources close to Lopez said she wanted to move on from the past before the new year and was “focused on her own life.”

“She’s had a rough year but she’s doing well,” a source close to the mother of two said, according to People Magazine. “She’s ready for Christmas and to start the New Year off in style.”

This Christmas, Affleck and Lopez spent the holidays separately, as planned. Sources revealed that Affleck celebrated with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner and their three children, while Lopez reportedly spent the festivities with his sister Lynda Lopez, his producing partner Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, his close friend Michelle Chiaravalle and their children.

The duo is still negotiating their divorce after Lopez filed papers in August to end their two-year marriage.
