Jordan Henderson would have promised to stay at Ajax until the summer after deciding on his request to join Monaco.

According to the Daily de Telegraaf, based in Amsterdam, the former English international told the club yesterday that he would no longer play for them if they did not allow him to move to Monte Carlo in this transfer window.

Henderson was then stripped of the captain but still played during the victory of the Europa League last night against Galatasaray.

However, according to DE TELEGRAAF, Henderson made a complete turn and, speaking after the match in the locker room, informed the club that he will remain until the end of the season.

The 34 -year -old man joined Ajax 12 months ago after an unfortunate fate in Saudi Arabia and prospered, helping them second at Eredivisie behind PSV Eindhoven.

And his initial desire to jump the ship made the former defender of Ajax Frank de Boer, who criticized Henderson for not facing the media and explain his actions.

He told Ziggo Sport: “Henderson did not appear in front of the camera before the match. He can simply focus on the match, then appear in front of the camera.

“It is a nonsense. Henderson has other things in his mind and does not want to answer. »»

Sneijder calls Henderson to “be a man”

The former midfielder and the Real Madrid midfielder Wesley Sneijder was not impressed and was confused to explain why Henderson did not carry the armband against Galatasaray without any appropriate explanation of him or the club .

Sneijder said, “Don’t be so difficult. You just play this match with the armband and then you say: “Yeah guys, I don’t know yet.”

“Something is happening. We will see what’s going on tomorrow.

“Be a man and get up. Right now, you get all these speculations and create troubles. It could have been much calmer if he had just carried the armband. »»
