Kate Middleton confirmed it cancer is in remission, using a social media post to share the good news and thank the staff who cared for her during her treatment.
In a message posted on Instagram Tuesday, the Princess of Wales shared that there was “a lot to look forward to.”
“It’s a relief to now be in remission and I remain focused on my recovery,” the 43-year-old royal wrote.
“As anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer knows, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. I am, however, looking forward to a busy year ahead,” she continued.
“There is a lot to hope for. Thank you all for your continued support.
The post follows Middleton’s visit on Tuesday to the Royal Marsden Hospital, the facility where she was treated following her diagnosis.
“I wanted to take this opportunity to thank the Royal Marsden for taking such good care of me over the past year,” she wrote in her message, paying tribute to the “exceptional” care they received. she received upon her diagnosis, saying she “I couldn’t have asked for more.

During her visit to the hospital, Middleton spoke with cancer patient Katherine Field, who was receiving chemotherapy, and gushed about the experience of cancer treatment.
“It’s really hard. It’s such a shock,” she said of her diagnosis, which she revealed to the world in early 2024. “Everyone told me please keep a mental state positive, it makes such a difference.”
She added, “When I got there, everyone told me to wear all your warm (clothing),” because chemotherapy infusion rooms can often be cold.
Middleton announced last March that she had been diagnosed with an undisclosed type of cancer and would undergo chemotherapy. Otherwise, she kept the details of her cancer and treatment confidential.
