Kyle Richards’ stepfather Eduardo Umansky and his former partner Simin Tabibnia were romantically involved for 18 years before things turned sour.

Eduardo was subpoenaed to answer some questions in the case involving allegations of domestic violence by his former romantic partner. Court documents reveal Simin has requested to appear at an upcoming court hearing as both face abuse allegations.

A hearing is scheduled for later this month. Simin accused the elder Umansky of physically, verbally and emotionally abusing her while they dated for nearly two decades.

In touch shared the 81-year-old’s family, claiming that his former girlfriend was the real abuser during their relationship.

Last year, Mauricio, 54, and his sister, Sharon Umansky Benton, sought to place Eduardo under conservatorship. They accused Simin of alienating him from his family and exploiting him.

The court appointed Mauricio and Sharon as co-conservators of Eduardo’s estate. Sharon then filed a restraining order against Simin, alleging that her father’s ex-partner had been physical with her.

Simin refuted the allegations and submitted his own request for a restraining order against Sharon. Eventually, The explosion reported that the judge issued a permanent restraining order in favor of Sharon.

Sharon then submitted a motion for a restraining order on behalf of Eduardo against Simin. The petition alleged that Simin “verbally, physically and financially” abused Eduardo for many years.

Sharon said the first signs of threats and abuse emerged about 10 years ago, but it was difficult to fully understand what was happening. It was around August or September 2022 that the situation began to intensify.

After Sharon presented a reasonable argument in court, Eduardo eventually obtained a temporary restraining order against his former partner.

Eduardo Umansky’s ex shared that she was afraid of the 81-year-old

Simin reciprocated by submitting a petition for a “restraining order for abuse of a dependent elderly person.” She described Eduardo as her former boyfriend while urging the court to require that he stay at least 100 meters away from her.

Simin added that Eduardo abused her on December 4, 2024. “I’m afraid of [Eduardo]” she began, adding that she had an 18-year relationship with the 81-year-old, during which she suffered a series of abuse.

She claimed Eduardo “physically abused me on several occasions, resulting in injuries.” He also allegedly punched her in the face and arms, kicked her legs, pushed her down and strangled her.

Simin included photographs of his alleged injuries in his petition as evidence and said the events caused me not only physical harm but also emotional distress.

Simin observed in his file that Eduardo’s mood deteriorated every time he spoke with Sharon on the phone. Simin said she was the main target of his assaults, as well as a series of abusive behaviors he had previously exhibited.

According to her, Eduardo “has a long history of verbal abuse, frequently using humiliating and blasphemous language towards me in public and in front of others. He repeatedly told me to ‘shut up,’ among other degrading remarks .”

Simin argued in her motion that she hoped her former partner would move past his abusive ways after Sharon filed a separate restraining order for “elder abuse” against her on Eduardo’s behalf in October 2024.

Like father, like son. Mauricio also had his hands full after being dragged to court by Relator LLC in late 2024. The document unsealed by the court in August 2024 shows that the company initially filed the petition in July 2023.

The filing alleged that Umansky, along with his business partner William “Billy” Rose and their real estate company, The Agency, conspired to embezzle loans intended for struggling businesses.

“This is a case of greed during a national health emergency,” Relator LLC said in the petition. They said Mauricio submitted applications for two Payroll Protection Program (PPP) and CARES Act loans through his real estate company, The Agency, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Relator LLC emphasized that the loan programs were not designed to support or maintain the profits of a company with sufficient resources to pay its employees.

He clarified that the financial aid initiative was actually created to preserve the jobs of workers employed by companies who were unable to pay their salaries.

The plot continues to thicken in the legal battle between Eduardo Umansky and Simin Tabibnia!
