Tragically, there was a fatal accident in Aseseaso involving the staff of Koforidua Technical High School, Eastern Region.
The staff members were returning to Koforidua after attending the funeral of a colleague’s spouse in Akwamufie, Asuogyaman District.
The school bus driver lost control while descending from Dukrom to Aseseaso, causing the vehicle to tip into a nearby valley. Firefighters and other security personnel had to intervene to rescue the trapped victims.
Currently, one person is reported to have died, while two others are in critical condition and receiving urgent medical treatment at the Yilobo Government Hospital.
This devastating incident has left a dark cloud over the school community and surrounding areas, as colleagues and families anxiously await further information on the welfare of those affected.
This incident highlights the importance of strictly following safety protocols on the road.
