LG today kicked off the AI movement with a new set of AI services to help consumers with their daily tasks at home, in the car and in the office.
LG’s goal CES 2025 The press event aimed to show how AI would work in everyday life, with the aim of redefining the concept of space, said William Joowan Cho, CEO of LG Electronics at the event. The presentation showed that LG is fully focused on integrating AI into almost all of its products and services.
Cho called LG’s AI efforts “loving intelligence” and said they stand out from other strategies with their human-centered focus.
The strategy focuses on three elements: connected devices, powerful AI agents and integrated services. One of the things the company announced was a strategic partnership with Microsoft on AI innovation, where the companies committed to joining forces to shape the future of AI-powered spaces .
One result is that Microsoft’s Xbox Ultimate Game Pass will appear via Xbox Cloud on LG’s TVs, helping LG catch up with Samsung in offering cloud gaming natively on its TVs. LG Electronics will bring the Xbox app to select LG Smart TVs. This means gamers with LG Smart TVs will be able to explore the Gaming Portal to directly access hundreds of games from the Game Pass Ultimate catalog, including popular titles like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and upcoming releases like Avowed (launching in February). 18, 2025).
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members will be able to play games directly from the Xbox app on select LG Smart TVs via cloud gaming.

A demo showed a cute little rolling robot called Q9, which uses AI to talk to a family about the house in a conversational way.
Ultimately, LG wants to remove work from home life. It wants to create a seamless home without work through LG’s home-focused operating system and the core technologies of LG devices, all unified through AI in a way that adapts to our lifestyles.

There will be a variety of poles in our lives for AI, such as autonomous poles that will evolve according to circumstances. In one demonstration, the AI speaks vocally to the driver of a car, informing them that there is an accident ahead and suggesting an alternative route. Additionally, the AI indicates that you probably won’t arrive at your appointment on time and asks if the driver wants to initiate the call from the car.
The car can detect a change in the driver’s vital signs, such as an increase in heart rate, and can suggest calming the driver’s nerves by playing a focus and relaxation playlist.
LG promised to help consumers with complex relationships with content, by finding free content where possible and managing multiple subscriptions at home.
Priscilla Higa from LG Vehicle Solutions Sales said at the press event that LG AI wants in-car mobility to be a highly personalized experience in the car space. The solutions offered in the car are therefore adapted to the present moment.
“The mobility experience is enhanced by AI, like a caring assistant on the go,” Higa said.
LG introduced many of its new products, such as new TVs, for CES 2025 during the month of December.
