It’s a crucial time for Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City, with both teams struggling to qualify for the playoffs of the revamped Champions League.
PSG begins the evening in 26th place, one point and two places behind City, who occupy last place, which would mean that their European adventure would continue for another month.
It’s not a situation these two big-spending clubs – both backed by Middle Eastern money – would have envisaged at the start of the campaign.
Paris Saint-Germain team news
The big news for the home side is the return of central defender and captain Marquinhos following a thigh injury.
The Brazilian, who missed his weekend victory in Lens, replaces Lucas Beraldo.
There were two other changes with Achraf Hakimi and Joao Neves replacing Lucas Hernandez and Warren Zaire-Emery.
PSG: Donnarumma, Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes, Ruiz, Neves, Vitinha, Lee, Doué, Barcola
Manchester City team news
Pep Guardiola made two changes to the side that won 6-0 at Ipswich on Sunday, one being made by Jeremy Doku, who missed out due to injury.
Doku was superb at Portman Road this weekend, but suffered a problem which prevented him from traveling to Paris. Savinho replaces the Belgian winger.
Elsewhere, Bernardo Silva is preferred in midfield to Ilkay Gundogan.
Matheus Nunes continues at right back.
Manchester City: Ederson, Nunes, Akanji, Dias, Gvardiol, Kovacic, De Bruyne (C), Bernardo, Savinho, Foden, Haaland
