David Moyes takes charge of Everton for the first time in his second spell at the club when the Toffees host an Aston Villa side 15 points above them in the Premier League on Wednesday.

In his first press conference on Monday, Moyes spoke of his desire to add “elite” recruits to his squad and said he had challenged striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin to immediately start adding to his disappointing two-goal return this season.

Villa manager Unai Emery signed himself a day before attempting to get back level on points with Manchester City, paying £19m plus £2.5m in add-ons to Borussia Dortmund for Dutch winger Donyell Malen.
