Liverpool starlet Jayden Danns joins Sunderland on loan

Liverpool’s teenager, very well rated, Jayden Danns, joined Sunderland on loan until the end of the season, although he did not immediately link with the championship.

The Wearsiders announced the arrival of the striker this lunch hour, but also revealed a back injury identified during the medical means that Danns will return to his parent club for the first stage of the recovery process.

Danns, 19, signed a new long -term contract on Monday with Liverpool before being sent on loan.

The director of football at Sunderland, Kristjaan Speakman, said: “Jayden is an extremely talented player, who corresponds to the profile we were looking for. His availability was always going to be determined late in the window due to the Liverpool program and the request for him was high, so we worked extremely hard to secure the player.

“It is regrettable that the medical process has highlighted a problem which ultimately obliges Jayden to take a rest period. Despite this, he remained very motivated to come to Sunderland and, as such, we agreed to collaborate with Liverpool to ensure that there is an opportunity to join us on a later date.

“We remain excited by the prospect of working with him and we are impatient to support him throughout the coming period.”

Danns excited to work with “incredible” Sunderland

Danns scored three goals in nine senior appearances for Liverpool and is excited on the occasion of moving to the Stade de la Light.

He said: “It is my first move of loan and a chance to prove myself, so I am very grateful for the opportunity and I am grateful to the club to have put their faith in me.

“I did my research and the team is incredible, so it looks like the right step. I am disappointed that I cannot do it right away, but I am proud to have joined the club and I will work hard throughout this period to make sure I can go back to action and play my role . “”

Sunderland is fourth in the championship after winning 3-2 in Middlesbrough last night.
