Wanda Maximoff’s fate, alias Scarlet Witch, has been a bit in the air of the Marvel cinematographic universe for several years. By all appearances, Wanda d’Elizabeth Olsen died at the end of “Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness”. Now, in the comics of Marvel and the MCU, when someone is dead, he is rarely really dead, especially when we do not see the body. So what happened to Wanda, exactly? Well, a new comic strip title Marvel may have revealed the answer. Those who are very spoiler would do well now.
Marvel recently started publishing a “TVA” comic strip, This takes place in the multifiverse organization that we have known in the MCU thanks to “Loki” and “Deadpool & Wolverine”. Although it is not extremely important for someone to catch up with everything that has happened in the “VAT” comics so far, it is important to note that this scenario takes place firmly within the multiverse – As in the same multiverse in the MCU. By Comic bookThe third issue barely reached the stands and, at the end of the book, Spider-Gwen goes through what seems to be Scarlet Witch (the scarlet witch of the MCU, to be specific).

Although this has not yet been explained, it could well be tackled in “VAT” # 4. Or maybe it’s just an Easter egg in a way. In any event, this opens up many questions. Was VAT intervened regarding the MCU maximoff Wanda? Did they put it on the ice to prevent it essentially from threatening more realities? Or maybe just to protect it? Is it the anchor of “anchor” of Terre-616, the main earth of the MCU as we know it? Again, for the moment, we have more questions than answers, but it is an intriguing little revelation.
Could VAT comics have an impact on MCU events?
We must now start asking more important questions. Would Marvel really allow a series of comics like “VAT” to reveal extremely important information on the MCU? Would that make a comic strip like this barrel without concluding a splashing agreement on this subject? For what it’s worth, Kevin Feige was promoted to Marvel Creation Director in 2019. This has charged him with everything at Marvel, including publishing. He is no longer just the film. So, at the very least, it is possible.
Beyond that, if it is really the scarlet witch of the MCU in a sort of cryo-sleep on VAT, what is it leading? We know with certainty that “Avengers: Doomsday” and “Avengers: Secret Wars” are about to close the multiverse saga. If Wanda is alive, it is impossible to imagine that it would not be involved in one way or another. That said, Elizabeth Olsen said she was not sure to play Scarlet Witch these days. Would it come back for a final trip? Money speaks in these situations.
The fact is that Wanda’s spell has been suspended, at least according to the comic book films. Scarlet Witch has become an extremely popular character and with two great films “Avengers” on the way, it would not be difficult to believe that Marvel lays the basics of his return. And everything that emphasizes comics is a good thing, in my humble opinion.
