Meghan Markle made an important decision regarding her Netflix cooking show, With love, Meghanjust two days before its release.
According to a latest report, the Duchess of Sussex has postponed the release of the new series in support of the devastating Los Angeles wildfires.
The show was supposed to premiere on the streaming giant on January 15, but Meghan pushed the release date back to March 4.
In a press release published at People MagazineMeghan Markle shared, “I thank my partners at Netflix for helping me delay the launch while we focus on the needs of those affected by the wildfires in my home state of California.”
The decision comes just days after Meghan and Prince Harry released a joint statement encouraging others to open their homes to evacuees and donate essential items to those in need.
“In recent days, wildfires have raged across Southern California and devastated families, homes, schools, medical care centers and more, affecting tens of thousands of people from all walks of life . A state of emergency has been declared,” they wrote on their website.
“If a friend, loved one or pet needs to evacuate and you are able to offer them a safe haven in your home, do so,” Harry and Meghan added.
“And be sure to check with disabled or elderly neighbors to see if they need help evacuating,” they continued. “Some families and people were left with nothing.”
“Please consider donating clothing, toys and children’s clothing, as well as other essentials.”
