The Denver Broncos fell to the Cincinnati Bengals in overtime on the road last weekend, missing the chance to end the Miami Dolphins’ playoff hopes and earn their first trip to the playoffs in eight years . The Dolphins are still in playoff contention, thanks to this result and their victory against the Cleveland Browns in Week 17.
In Week 18, the Dolphins will face the 4-12 New York Jets, who are currently seventh in the 2025 NFL Draft order. Miami will qualify for the playoffs for the third straight season if they win and the Broncos lose to the Kansas City Chiefs at home.

Miami Dolphins Injury Report for Week 18
THE Miami Dolphins“The injury situation is still dominated by the quarterback Tua Tagovailoahip, but on Wednesday, three players missed practice completely due to injuries.
Additionally, offensive tackle Kendall Lamm was placed on injured reserve on Wednesday. It’s unclear what exactly landed Lamm on injured reserve, given that he played against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 16 and against Cleveland on Sunday after missing the Week 15 game against the Texans from Houston due to a back injury.
Linebacker Anthony Walker Jr. (knee), safety Jordan Poyer (knee/finger) and offensive tackle Terron Armstead (knee) also missed Miami’s practice Wednesday. Defensive tackle Calais Campbell (rest) was also DNP, but is injury free.
Walker has yet to return to practice after missing last week’s win over the Cleveland Browns. As for Armstead, he injured his knee during the first half of last weekend’s game and never returned.
Four other important Dolphins players were also listed as limited participants in Wednesday’s practice: safety Jevon Holland (wrist), punter Jake Bailey (back), receiver Jaylen Waddle (knee), receiver Tyreek Hill (wrist /rest) and Tagovailoa (hip).
Tagovailoa is dealing with a hip injury he suffered against the Houston Texans in Week 15. He was able to play through the injury in Week 16 against the 49ers, but was unable to play the week last against the Browns.
Coach Mike McDaniel announced Wednesday that the team would have a backup quarterback. Tyler Huntley ready as QB1 for Week 18. Additionally, he said the team would have time to return to Tagovailoa as the week progressed if he fully recovered.
Linebacker Duke Riley participated fully in Wednesday’s practice despite a foot issue listed on the injury report.
