The Minister of the Union for the Road, Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, said on Saturday that the government should introduce a national toll policy on national motorways which will guarantee a reasonable concession, which will greatly relieve commuters.
Speaking at BT Mindrush 2025 in Mumbai, the Minister of the Union said that politics was ready and should be announced before April 1. He has not shared more details related to politics, but that people no longer bicker on toll levels on national highways.
“I will declare a policy on tolls before April 1. He will offer a reasonable concession to commuters, “said Gadkari.
Speaking Thursday in Lok Sabha, the minister said that the government planned to introduce an annual success system to replace the toll collection on national motorways, improve operational efficiency and promote convenience for road users.
The Ministry of Transport also invited the request for proposals (RFP) to implement the automatic toll system of the Automatic license plate (ANPR) Fastag based on the system on the fees of “Gharonda, Choryasi, of the implementation on other plated according to the projects according to the exit and the efficiency of the implementation.
Speaking during the event, Gadkari said that there was no lack of money but that it is necessary to increase the expenses of the budget allowance.

The Minister said he would like the poor to invest in the construction of roads and would offer an interest of 8.05% against 4.5% offered by banks on deposits. He also talked about 36 Green Express highways under construction to considerably reduce logistics costs.
