Former wide receiver of the Patriots of New England Julian Edelman Pull the curtain on the bathroom breaks of the rather unusual playing game of the NFL players.
When asked how professional football players went to the toilet in the middle of the game, Edelman, 38, explained that desperate times call for desperate measures.
“Usually you go to the sidelines,” said the former player exclusively US Weekly. “You will see two coaches who contain towels. You go next to the water cooler and put yourself on your knees, you lower your pants [and] you go.”
According to the triple champion of the Super Bowl, the coaches of the NFL team are “really good” to help the players hide their, uh, to me when nature calls the middle of the game.
“The coaches are really good,” he said, adding that it is common that players help hide on the sidelines between a water station and a helmet station.
“So you are between these two stations, then two coaches will hold the towels right next to you,” he continued. “They see everything, but people are not.”
Edelman continued joking that it “probably costs too much money for the NFL” to provide portable toilets for each team. (The average NFL team is worth around 6 billion dollars.)
Edelman spoke to We While he is preparing to cover the Super Bowl 2025 between the Chiefs of Kansas City and the Eagles of Philadelphia as a Commentator of Fox Sports – a first for the retired receiver.
“I am very excited,” the athlete sparked. “I did the Super Bowl, not as a retired player, but it will be the first [time] that I can cover it with fox. We have a three -hour kick -off show, which is super exciting. I love to work with the guys with whom we work. And the ladies, Erin Andrews And Chrissa Thompson – It was so fun.
Edelman also gave a cry to his former quarter of a teammate and patriots Tom BradyAdding that he is looking forward to seeing Tom and hearing his ideas on the game “partly because he can provide” unique “comments.
“No one can really talk about what Patrick Mahomes Done now, but Tom, “he continued. “So I think it’s going to be exciting.”
Perhaps haunted by his sidelines, Edelman is just as excited for the first advertisement of Angel Soft Super Bowl, specially designed to be missed so that football fans can take their own break Bath before the half-time performance of this year.
According to Angel Soft, nine out of 10 people admitted to having missed something important because they were in the bathroom. (NFL players, however, are apparently immune.)
“They eliminate complete advertising at the Super Bowl to allow us all those who are stuck on television – because of the game and advertisements – to take a bathroom,” said Edelman. “A little angel – we don’t have it here, but she’s so cute. It’s just a reminder.
