Actor Nikki Glaser and her boyfriend, Chris Convyhave been intermittent for a decade.
“I think casual is [because] I’m just terrified of committing to anything forever,” Glaser said during a May 2024 appearance on the Howard Stern Show. “I think committing to something forever doesn’t make me think of any other adventure. It’s just, in a way, admitting defeat. It’s settling in. »
According to Glaser, she and Convy dismantled “probably five times in 10 years”.
“Our breaks went from maybe two days to three years,” she recalls. “He broke up with me. Early in our relationship, I think I wanted a boyfriend so much that I really misrepresented who I was. I thought having a boyfriend meant being nice and doing everything, never fighting [and] never say, “I don’t like what you just said,” because then he would say, “Well, that’s just how I am, goodbye.” »

2013
Glaser and Convy met on the set of his MTV series, Nikki and Sara live.
“It was my first TV show and he was a producer on the show and he was from St. Louis, where I was from,” Glaser recalled during an October 2022 appearance on In depth with Graham Bensinger. “I just stopped drinking, about a year before that and I didn’t want to be involved with people who were heavy drinkers.”
According to Glaser, she initially thought Convy was cute but “too fun.”
“It was like a party where we all met,” she added. “He was dancing and he was just so fun and smiley. I was like, “This guy is drunk, because how can you be like that?” So I just wrote it off, like, “No, not for me.” »
When Glaser made Convy was also sobershe developed a “crush”.
“I just had a long-distance crush for a really long time, which was so fun because I was constantly craving him,” she joked. “It was very Jim and Pam [from The Office.] I was Jim and he had no idea. He was my first real boyfriend.
Glaser said previously Us every week in her 2022 feature film “25 Things You Don’t Know About Me”, she had her first boyfriend at the age of 24.

2016
Convy continued to work alongside Glaser, producing his one-season show Not safe with Nikki Glaser on Comedy Central. Around the same time the show was canceled after one season, they broke up.
2020
In the middle of corona virus pandemicGlaser returned to her hometown of St. Louis and sold her docuseries Welcome Home Nikki Glaser at the E! network. While the TV host initially pitched it as a dating show, she later started seeing Convy again off-camera.
“I’m a little [wanted] go out with someone who will be filmed with me,” she said Graham Bensinger in 2022, revealing what she said to Convy. “I’ll still see you privately, but I have to go out with you on the show unless you want to be on camera and he said, ‘I’ll do it.'”
Glaser called Convy’s willingness to publicize their relationship a “turning point” because it illustrated how much he loved her.
“He wants to share something together, so it was just all those things,” she added. “Then I started doing things that were hard for me, like making time for him.”
2022
During Glaser’s meeting with Bensinger, she confirmed that she and Convy had briefly separated in September.
“Last month it was like a ‘do or die’ situation, where we were like, ‘What do we do?’ Where does this leave me?’ “, she added. “We never talked about marriage. We both signed up nine years ago because we didn’t want to get married or have kids, but now he’s in his 40s. [and] I’m in my thirties. What do we do? Our priorities have changed, our goals have changed.

Glaser offered more insight into their relationship on SiriusXM The Howard Stern Shownoting that they had previously split over his podcast confessions.
“Not because I thought he wouldn’t hear them, but they would naturally come out under the guise of ‘it’s a comedy!'” she said. “He finally heard them and said, ‘I don’t recognize who this person is.’ …He had every reason to break up with me because it shocked him because I lied all the time. He really made me stop lying, I’m better at it. I’m not perfect at this because I’m always afraid of being abandoned, so there are some issues in our relationship where I’m afraid he’ll be mad at me.
