Some countries such as China, India, Pakistan and Russia prevent their citizens and visitors inside their borders from using VPNs. Even if you visit these countries with a preinstalled VPN application, these governments have anti-VPN solutions to prevent you from using them. This is where Nordwhisper comes into play. The company claims that instead of relying on standard obscure techniques, Nordwhisper imitates regular internet traffic, which makes more difficult for governments to say if you use a VPN, although it is not infallible.

All VPN protocols introduce the lag and latency, and North Security also mentioned that Nordwhisper will probably be slower than other protocols because of its technology. Despite this, the company has promised to make it smarter, faster and more effective in its work.

Nordwhisper will gradually take place to users, starting with Windows, Android and Linux applications. The other applications will receive care on a later date, although Nord Security has mentioned no specific day or time.
