Tottenham finished a second leg turnaround to reserve a place in the quarter-final of the Europa Legaue with a 3-1 victory against Az Alkmaar.

AZ went to northern London with an advance of 1-0 from last week’s first stage, in which the Spurs produced a very disappointing performance.

But the Ange Postcoglou team dominated this time, Wilson Odobert and James Maddison putting them forward.

Peer Koopmeiners leveled the 16 -year -old draw after defending terrible spurs, but Odobert finally made the 74th minute say when he converted at close range at the end of a superb attack to send Tottenham to a last meeting with Eintracht Frankfurt.

Tottenham vs az alkmaar

Tottenham did a lot of more brilliant start, but had a hard time creating a lot of chances of clear cut. It was until his son Heung-Min pushed Az to lose possession deeply in their own half, the Ballon Ricoche on the way to Dominic Solanke, who elongated in the Carré for Odobert to denigrate his first Tottenham goal in the 26th minute.

AZ offered little attack force in response to the first stadiums in a second half, they started on the front foot.

But they first lagged behind in equality in the 48th minute, his son again when his square pass had coldly returned to the lower right corner by Maddison.

There did not seem to be a road in the game for AZ, but the Spurs gave them a 15 minutes after advancing equally.

Lucas Bergvall and Odobert designed to divert the ball directly in the Koopmeiners path, who did not need a second invitation when he threatened beyond Guglielmo Vicario.

The Spurs, however, continued to dictate the procedures, and the objective that set equality was the best of the night. A wonderful free flow team movement that started deep inside their own half ended with Djed Spence whistling in a left cross for Solanke, who brilliantly entered the ball so that Oodobert hits his second.

However, Tottenham was far from comfortable and seeing a deserved triumph, and Az would have leveled without the reflexes of Vicario and a beautiful defense against Yves Bissouma, the latter withdrew to prevent the effort of Mees de Wit on the rebound after the goalkeeper.

Tottenham has shown little desire to listen to that the warning and the substitute Az Mexx Meerdink were heading for another excellent chance, the side of Maarten Martens left to the fight against their teacher while the spurs led to keep their hopes of silverware intact.
