Diego Pacheco (23-0, 18 KO) denied that Steven Nelson (20-1, 16 KO) was the most formidable opponent he faced during his professional career after beating him by unanimous decision in 12 rounds by a score of 117-111 x 3 Saturday night at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.

Although Pacheco didn’t name the fighters who gave him trouble, Shawn McCalman and Marcelo Coceres stand out as two he had significant issues with.

“I showed my skills and my game plan was much better. I felt like I never got tired on any lap. I felt like I was in control of the pace and in control of the fight. I could have gone more rounds if the fight had been longer,” Pacheco said.
