Angel Postcoglou admitted that his Tottenham team had no “point” but praised the second half of his players despite a 1-0 defeat against Manchester City in the Premier League on Wednesday.
Erling Haaland, returning from an absence of two games, found the net after 12 minutes in a city in the first half dominated. But the two parties proved unnecessary and, in the end, the spurs were left to the height of several good chances which were begged after the break.
City’s victory brought them back to the first four of the League while Pep Guardiola, who qualified Postcoglou an “exceptional” manager, cut out a full -time figure.
“The first half was difficult,” postcoglou told TNT Sports. “They [City] had the ascendant and scored and had some good chances.
“But I thought the second half we have dominated and that we lacked the goal. We dominated the ball, we dominated the territory, we pinned them.
“We just missed this point in the last third.”

Guardiola also underlined the lack of quality of his team in front of the goal, but said he was satisfied that his team had overcome the line.
“”[I am] Really happy for the three points – that [football] is a company, ”said the city’s boss.
“The second half was opened because it did not close the match in the first. We had so much narrow chances and for the quality we have, we must convert.
“We knew in the second [half] We were going to suffer but the guys did it. They fought for a lot and I was really happy. »»
Guardiola was also complementary to the city’s opponents: “It is one of the best depth squads that I have ever seen. The manager [Postecoglou] is exceptional and they are a fantastic team. »»
The next step for Tottenham is a trip to Az Alkmaar during the disabled Europa League on March 6 on March 6, while City is in FA Cup Fourth Round Action on Saturday when they welcome the Plymouth Argyle championship, which eliminated Liverpool in the last round.
