The Bangladesh demonstrators vandalized and burnt down the former family home of fallen Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, as well as those of other members of her party.

The troubles were triggered by news that Hasina would address the country via social media from India, where it has been in exile since the demonstrations led by students ousted it last year.

Hasina, who has run the country for 20 years, was considered an autocrat whose government has ruthlessly reprimanded dissent.

On Wednesday evening, an excavator broke the late Hasina father, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, who is also the founding president of Bangladesh. The structure had been reused in a museum.
