Unlike this time last year, the January transfer window was responsible for the Premier League clubs, but who made the best company?
There were certainly winners and losers.
Marcus Rashford at Aston Villa was a surprise, while Mathys Tel in Tottenham was a great acquisition, although at the second moment of demand.
Let’s take a look at how each club has done and assess them accordingly.
Whether you agree or disagree with the note, let us know in the comments!
Arsenal
In: N / A
Out: Josh Robinson, Marquinhos, Ayden Heaven, Maldini Kacurri
Notation: Do not bring anyone when the Gunners seriously need an attacker is at least short seen. Seeing Ayden Heaven moving to Man United is probably also a big blow. 2/10
Aston Villa
In: Donyell Malen, Andres Garcia, Marcus Rashford, Marco Asensio, Axel Disasi
Out: Lewis Dobbin, Jaden Philogène, Diego Carlos, Tommi O’Reilly, Emiliano Buendia, Louie Barry, Joe Gauci, Jhon Duran, Kosta Nedeljkovic, Sil Swinkels, Samuel ILING-JUNIOR-JUNIOR
Notation: Obtaining the best dollar for a disruptive presence at Jhon Duran and a decent corner for the Jaden Philogene Subperforming was a good deal. The contribution of Marcus Rashford, Marco Asensio and other experienced heads underlined what a shiny January Unai Emery had. 9/10
Bournemouth
In: Matai Akinmboni, Kai Cramptom, Julio Soler, Zain Silcott-Duberry, Eli Junior Kroupi
Out: Philip Billing, Max Aarons, Mark Travers, Eli Junior Kroupi
Notation: Some love business like cherries, but their acquisition of Eli Junior Kroupi should not go under the radar. A brilliant talent for the future. 5/10
Brentford
In: Michael Kayode
Out: Ashley Hay, Val Adedokun, Jayden Meghoma, Tristan Crama, Ellery Balcombe, Tony Yogane, Mads Roerslev, Matthew Cox
Notation: A mini-class was necessary for bees, and it was made with little noise. He could take a little time Michael Kayode, but Thomas Frank showed long before now that his judgment had to trust. 4/10
Brighton
In: Diego Gomez, Eiran Cashin, Stefanos Tzimas
Out: Louis Flower, Jakub Moder, Julio Enciso, Valentin Barco, Benicio Baker-Boaitey, Stefanos Tzimas, Evan Ferguson
Notation: Although he was allowed to stay in Nurnberg on loan, Stefanos Tzimas is a solid purchase. Indeed, a large part of Brighton’s transfer activities always end with the group in the mind, and how the new signature will adapt. This has worked for them in recent seasons, and no reason to think that this will not be the case. Evan Ferguson could be a big loss, but with little chance of receiving him for a few minutes, a loan was the best result. 6/10
Chélat
In: Mathis Amougou
Out: Alex Matos, Kai Crampton, Zain Silcott-Duberry, Max Merrick, Renato Veiga, Cesare Casadei, Camb Wiley, Carney Chukwuemeka, Ben Chilwell, Joao Felix, Axel Disasi
Notation: Whenever there is a transfer window, the circus comes to Stamford Bridge. The recent Chelsea transfer activity continues to be a real head scratch. Bringing back Joao Felix only to let him go again is only an example of fairly strange decisions in the blue half of western London. Who knows what is the next step! 3/10
Crystal Palace
In: Romain Esse, Ben Chilwell
Out: Asher Agbinone, Jemiah Umolu, Chris Francis, Luke Plange, Rob Holding, Jeffrey Schlupp
Notation: Palace has just started turning around again, and Ben Chilwell’s experience will indeed be very practical. Romain Esse should also prove to be an asset for Oliver Glasner. 6/10
Everton
In: Carlos Alcaraz
Out: Charlie Whitaker, Harrison Armstrong
Notation: David Moyes barely had time to pass the feet under the table, so transfer cases were still going to take a rear seat in January. 3/10
Fulham
In: Willian
Out: Olly Sanderson
Notation: At the time of writing the editorial staff, the transfer of Willian has still not been fully executed, although the wait is that it will pass as planned. Bringing back a 36 year old child because your only incoming business is not great, however. 2/10
Ipswich
In: Ben Godfrey, Jaden Philogène, Julio Inciso, Alex Palmer
Out: Henry Gray, Harry Barbrook, George Edmundson, Ali Al-Hamadi, Harry Clarke
Notation: Kieran McKenna had to shake the portman Road boat a little, and he hopes that the new additions will do exactly. The loan of the five players mentioned above has probably only managed to save money at this stage. If Jaden Philogene in particular can deliver the goods, there is a chance that the second half of the season can be an improvement compared to the first, but it may not be enough. 3/10
Leicester
In: Woyo Coulibaly
Out: Tom Cannon, Hamza Choudhury, Will Alves
Notation: A relegation candidate if there were ever. When a big name was necessary to breathe life into the King Power stadium, Woyo Coulibaly was probably what was expected. A shock from a window for a team that wants to stand up. 1/10
Liverpool
In: N / A
Out: Rhys Williams, Marcelo Pitaluga, Calvin Ramsay, Thomas Hill, Stefan Bajcetic, Kaide Gordon
Notation: If it is not broken, do not repair it. All groans and groans in summer on a lack of activity were certainly not there this time. The men of Arne Slot were imperative. Taking young and marginal players is perfectly logical. 8/10
Man
In: Abdukodir Khusanov, Vitor Reis, Omar Marmoush, Christian McFarlane, Juma Bah, Nico Gonzalez
Out: Issa Kabore, Josh Wilson-Esbrand, Kyle Walker, Juma Bah, Jacob Wright
Notation: Losing Kyle Walker was undoubtedly a hard blow for Pep Guardiola, but the strength and caliber of the players that City brought in January – although a significant cost – cannot be beaten. Do not bet against another title accusation. 10/10
Man United
In: Patrick Dorgu
Out: Ethan Ennis, Joe Hugill, Ethan Williams, Antony, Ethan Wheatley, Daniel Gore, Marcus Rashford
Notation: Currently, Man United Fans are either half empty, or half in glass. Patrick Dorgu is an excellent addition, but the Red Devils probably needed a more urgent main attacker. Losing Antony and Marcus Rashford, while good deals at first glance given their personal shape, now leaves United Light at the front if the injuries begin to bite. Ineos must help Ruben Amorim to revise things next summer. 3/10
Newcastle
In: N / A
Out: Isaac Hayden, Alex Murphy, Charlie Mcadre, Miguel Almiron, Lloyd Kelly
Notation: It is clear that Newcastle is still afraid of losing big name players. No longer signing is obviously direct from the PSR. Given their European aspirations, in January was poor for Eddie Howe and Al. 2/10
Nottingham Forest
In: Wayne Hennessey, Tyler Bindon
Out: Aaron Donelly, Andrew Omobamidele, Josh Bowler, James Ward-Prowse, Lewis O’Brien, Tyler Bindon, Emmanuel Dennis
Notation: A window that was neither bad nor shiny for the forest. They get along very well at the moment, although some studious additions may have pushed them in the second half of the campaign. They don’t want to live to regret their January business. 3/10
Southampton
In: Wellington, Rento Takaoka, Joachim Kayi Sanda, Albert Gronbak, Victor Udoh
Out: Ronnie Edwards, Will Armitage, Ben Brereton-Diaz, Samuel Amo-Ameyaw, Gavin Bazunu
Notation: For a team that has really had difficulties, none of the new additions, with respect, is likely to improve the saints a lot. The loans were undoubtedly necessary, and things seem darker than ever. 2/10
Tottenham
In: Yang Min-Hyeok, Antonin Kinsky, Kevin Danso, Mathys Tel
Out: Matthew Craig, Alfie Dorrington, Yang Min-Hyeok, Will Lankshear
Notation: In the end, Tottenham crossed the line with Mathys Tel and he could be the spark that revives the Spurs season. Other incoming transfers have also been carefully considered to be acquisitions. Angel Postcoglou could finally have a life buoy. 6/10
West Ham
In: James Ward-Prowse, Evan Ferguson
Out: Maxwel Cornet, Michael Forbes
Notation: It was never going to be busy for the Hammers after their expenses of expenses last summer. Evan Ferguson, if he can hit the upper shape, will be a clever purchase of Graham Potter, as I gave James Ward-Prowse. Even if this season is already a radiation for irons, there is an insignificant feeling that they could have done something more in this window. 5/10
Wolves
In: Emmanuel Agbadou, Nasser Djiga, Marshall Munetsi
Out: Chem Campbell, Luke Cundle, Tawanda Chirewa
Notation: More than 40 million pounds sterling spent by the wolves for their three new signatures, so we cannot say that they have not tried to buy their paths out of problems. It will be well spent if they can help wolves withdraw from relegation. 5/10
