Mohamed Salah insists his only goal is to see Liverpool win the Premier League title, even if his future at Anfield remains uncertain.

Salah scored and assisted two more goals in a 5-0 win over West Ham on Sunday as Arne Slot’s side ran riot at the London Stadium.

Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo, Trent Alexander-Arnold and substitute Diogo Jota also found the net as Liverpool finished the year in pole position for the league title.

But one of the main talking points at Anfield in recent weeks has been the futures of Salah, Alexander-Arnold and captain Virgil van Dijk, all out of contract this summer.

All three are yet to agree an extension, but the Reds’ top scorer this season says his main priority is to ensure his side win silverware this season.

“The only thing that concerns me is that I want Liverpool to win the championship,” Salah told Sky Sports after the match. “I just want to be a part of it.

“It’s the only thing I’ve focused on since the start of the season. So I will do my best for the team to win the trophy.

“We are in the right direction but of course there are a few other teams trying to catch up with us. We just have to stay focused, work hard and start again.

On the contractual situation, Salah remained discreet: “We are far from it. I don’t want to put something in the media.

“I am focused on the team and hope we win the Premier League.”

Slot was also keen not to reveal anything to the press about off-field matters.

Liverpool boss told Sky Sports: ‘People are talking about it even more [in January]. Not just about these three [Salah, Van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold] but other players because it is a month where players can also transfer.

“So this month it’s not just going to be about the three, but also who we bring in and who might leave as well.”

Slot has, however, praised Alexander-Arnold amid growing speculation that the 26-year-old wants to leave Liverpool this summer, with Real Madrid seen as the likely destination.

“He [Alexander-Arnold] plays really well. He scored a great goal and the way he celebrated his goal probably tells you enough.

“So I don’t think I need to say much more. I’m really happy with Trent just like I’m happy with Mo [Salah] and with Virgil [van Dijk]. So for me there is no difference.

“To the outside world, there might be a little more going on in the media. But I’m happy with all three of them for now.

Liverpool will be next in action when they host fierce rivals Manchester United on January 5.
