Sam Asghari Told He ‘Used Britney’ After Going Official With New Girlfriend

It seems Sam Asghari looking to start the new year by showing off his new girlfriend to the world.

The ‘Special Ops: Lioness’ actor was previously married to Britney Spears after meeting on the set of her “Slumber Party” music video in 2016. The two got engaged in September 2021, just two months before her controversial 13-year conservatorship was overturned by a judge.

They married in June 2022, but the former personal trainer was quick to file for divorce in August 2023, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the separation.

Even though Sam Asghari appears to have moved on from his ex, Britney Spears, it seems many fans still aren’t over their relationship. In August 2023, the actor filed for divorce, which was settled in May 2024. In December 2024, the two were declared legally single by the state of California.

The former personal trainer appears to have spent the holidays partying with his new girlfriend, real estate agent Brooke Irvine, and made their relationship official in several photos he shared of their new relationship on Jan. 1 to mark the New Year.

Although the “Toxic” singer has disabled comments on her Instagram posts, Sam has never been shy about letting her followers have their say.

On January 1, the “Hot Seat” actor shared five photos showing his new relationship with the blonde beauty. “Happy New Year everyone,” he wrote in the caption. It’s clear the relationship is supported by his sister, Maddie Asghari, who dropped two red heart emojis on the post.

However, not everyone was happy to see that he had moved on. “He only used Britney to get her money, it’s so sad for this guy but remember karma exists,” one user wrote.

“I don’t even know if it was money he was after. He wanted publicity,” replied another Internet user.

“Publicity over money…exactly,” agreed a third user.

“It’s sad that you never liked Britney…you just wanted to become famous because of her,” another follower shared. This comment received 833 likes to show their agreement.

Although not everyone was a fan of “The Traitors” reality star’s new relationship, her post contained some positive comments, including one saying only “Momma Asghari” should approve of her new relationship.

“Congratulations. You deserve healthy, happy love. Your love is pure,” one fan commented.

“Sam, the best advice is to look not at the looks but at the heart and soul. All I wish you is a Happy New Year,” another follower wrote.

Although the “Oops!…I Did It Again” singer may not be in a relationship at the moment, she didn’t spend the holiday alone after her son, Jayden, came to live with She. In fact, she said it was the “best” Christmas ever after spending time with her sons over the holiday.

At Christmas, she shared a video of herself standing in front of a fireplace with Jayden visibly emotional. At one point, she leans in and gives him a kiss on the side of his face. “Best Christmas ever!!! Haven’t seen my boys in 2 years!!! Tears of joy and literally in shock everyday koo koo crazy so in love and blessed!!! I’m speechless Thank you Jesus!! she wrote in the caption.

Unlike her ex-husband, Britney has disabled comments on her Instagram posts to avoid negative comments.

As The explosion previously reported, Jayden came to live with Britney in California to look for schools to study music after moving to Hawaii with Britney’s ex-husband Kevin Federline last year. Just two days ago, the “Crossroads” actress took to Instagram to sing Jayden’s praises and noted how he seemed much older than the last time they spent time together.

“Mine forever!!! It’s weird we’re like twins but he’s a boy and I’m a girl!!! He’s mine I haven’t seen him in 2 and a half years or maybe being 3!!! I’m in shock!!! He came back and he feels older and smarter than me!!!” she wrote in the caption. “He is a man and I cry every day of my life because of the miracle and the genius that he is!!! When he plays, the whole earth shakes!!!”
