Liverpool’s head coach, Arne Slot, says that there were a lot of things that his team could have done better after losing against Plymouth in FA Cup.
A second half penalty was the difference in the game, but the Reds had trouble creating chances at 0-0.
After a week of summits after making the Carabao Cup final again, Slot swallowed his humble pie without any complaints.
He said, “I think they are able to do better. But it’s a system and a style of play [from Plymouth] which is quite difficult to create chances against
“This is what we have seen today. I was not surprised because in the head of this match, we saw a lot of long balls, second balls, and if we had the ball, they were really aggressive. It was expected.
“It is not always easy to create your chances when the team has not played with each other so many times. We expected them to play a better game than that, but we must also give credit to Plymouth.

“I think it hurts everyone. This includes Liverpool fans, me, players. We all wanted to participate in this competition as long as possible. If you go out in the first possible game, it’s a sad way.
