A small passenger plane crashed a few seconds after taking off from a Caribbean island near the continental Honduras on Monday, killing every 17 people on board, according to the 17th, the authorities.

The jetstream 32 plane transported 15 passengers and two crew members when it left on Monday evening of an airport on the island of Roatán, the civil aeronautics agency of Honduras said in a press release. The destination of the flight was the Ceiba, a city close to the north coast of the country, said the agency.
