Friday, the DOW was sailing an agitated negotiation session while the first -rate index sought to close its best first month of the year since 2019.

The Dow was up 20 points but bounced on Friday morning. The S&P increased by 0.7%, while the NASDAQ composite is up 1.3%.

The DOW increased by around 5.7% this month, on the right track for its best January since 2019, according to data from the Dow Jones market. The S&P 500 is up 3.6%, which would be its best January since 2023.
