The Sudanese army gains in the capital while the paramilitaries retain key positions.
The soldiers of Sudan captured a large bridge connecting the east of the capital Khartoum to the south, a few days after its recovery control of its northern part From the fast support forces (RSF).

Residents and doctors said on Friday that the RSF attacked the Zamzam travel camp struck by famine, south of El-Fashir, while the group tried to tighten its grip on the Bastion of Darfur.

Speaking on Friday at a high-level humanitarian conference in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, UN secretary general, Antonio Guterres, described the situation in Sudan as a disaster on An “amazing scale and brutality”.
“This is a crisis that requires sustained and urgent attention,” he told participants, stressing the need to stop the movement of weapons and ammunition in the country.
“This flow allows the pursuit of a formidable civil destruction and a bloodshed,” added Guterres.
Nearly 25 million people suffer from “acute” hunger levels, according to UN figures, and the supply of aid requires a cease-fire to be put in place.
Guterres called on the world leaders to use their influence for peace and stimulate humanitarian aid efforts before the sacred month of Ramadan.
“We have to do more – and do more now – to help the inhabitants of Sudan get out of this nightmare.”
