In the latest crackdown on women’s rights in Afghanistan, the Taliban announced it would no longer allow any domestic or foreign NGOs employing women to operate in the country. In a letter published on social platform X on Sunday evening, the Ministry of Economy said that NGOs that do not comply with the new rule will lose their operating licenses.
