Taylor Swift Expands Rhode Island Home To ‘Raise A Family’ With Travis Kelce

Taylor Fastit’s a romance with Travis Kelce becomes stronger. The singer is reportedly renovating her $17 million Rhode Island mansion into a future family home with the NFL star.

The plans will cost more than $1.7 million and include a new bedroom, living room, renovated kitchen and additional bedroom.

Travis Kelce also recently opened up about how his supportive relationship with Taylor Swifth strengthens his football career.

According to the New York PostSwift is in the middle of a major remodel of her lavish Rhode Island estate, with plans to make it a future family home with her boyfriend, Kelce.

Originally reported by the Providence Journal, Swift is investing $1.7 million in extensive renovations to the $17 million Watch Hill property. The move was confirmed through building permits and zoning records.

Renovation plans include a 400 sq ft extension to create a luxurious new bedroom and comfortable lounge space within the sprawling 11,000 sq ft seaside property.

Swift also redesigned the kitchen and added an additional bedroom to the main house.

Permits for the project were quietly submitted in late November and early December 2024, and construction was approved to continue until the end of 2025.

A source shared with the outlet that the “Cardigan” singer considers this property “her primary home base and where she and Kelce will hopefully raise a family one day.”

Swift’s sprawling Rhode Island estate, set on more than five acres of impeccably landscaped grounds, has long served as a favorite escape.

The property features an expansive patio, pool house and an exclusive 700-foot private beach, providing the perfect coastal retreat.

The multiple Grammy Award winner was last seen at the Watch Hill mansion in August 2024, relaxing with boyfriend Kelce and close friends after wrapping up the European leg of her record-breaking Eras tour.

Although she skipped her iconic Fourth of July celebration this year due to tour obligations, she later hosted an intimate reunion in August to make up for it.

Kelce isn’t the only notable guest enjoying Swift’s seaside sanctuary. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, recently joined the couple for a beach getaway.

In previous years, Swift’s exes Tom Hiddleston, Calvin Harris and Joe Jonas have also spent time at the estate, alongside her famous friends like Gigi Hadid, Selena Gomez and Cara Delevingne.

Over the summer, Blake Lively even celebrated her birthday at the beachfront property.

Swift purchased her stunning eight-bedroom, ten-bathroom Rhode Island estate in 2013, when she was just 23 years old.

Remarkably, she paid the entire $17.75 million price in a single bank transfer, securing the beachfront property without hesitation.

The mansion holds deep personal meaning for the mega pop star, serving as inspiration for her 2020 track “The Last Great American Dynasty.”

The song tells the story of Rebekah Harkness, the former owner of the estate. Harkness, a wealthy socialite and songwriter known for her headline-grabbing lifestyle, died in 1982 at the age of 67. She was often surrounded by controversy, which Swift felt personally connected to.

In a 2020 interview with rolling stoneSwift reflected on that connection, saying, “Her name was Rebekah Harkness. And she lived in the house that I ended up buying in Rhode Island. That’s how I heard about her. But she was a woman who was talked about a lot, a lot, and everything she did was scandalous, I found a connection there.

During a recent appearance on “The Stephen A. Smith Show” Ahead of the Chiefs’ playoff game against the Houston Texans, Kelce explained why he and Swift continue to publicly support each other as their careers reach new heights.

“I’m enjoying every aspect of life. Taylor and I are happy,” the Kansas City Chiefs star, 35, shared, adding, “I couldn’t be happier to have that confidence and comfort in off the field and everything.” the support I could ask for in the stadium.”

When Smith asked if his relationship with Swift improved his performance on the court, Kelce reflected on the impact of their connection.
