It looks more and more like which we have heard about in recent months will get Apple’s “Air” branding. In the newsletter, BloombergMark Gurman’s Mark Gurman says the iPhone 17 lineup will include a new model that could be called the iPhone 17 Air, and it will be about 2 millimeters thinner than any other model we’ve seen so far. “It will feature a core A19 chip and a single-lens camera system,” notes Gurman, and will serve “as a testing ground for future technologies, including those that could enable foldable devices.” According to Gurman, this and the upcoming new iPhone SE will use Apple’s first internal modem.

We’ll also likely see upgrades to the entry-level iPad that make it compatible with Apple Intelligence. Gurman reports that the next generation of iPad will receive the A17 Pro chip and 8 GB of memory. This news is expected to arrive in the spring with the iPhone SE and new iPad Air models, according to Gurman.
