Tom Holland’s Dad Says He And Zendaya Always ‘Confound’ Him

Tom Holland‘s father, Dominic Holland, is certain of his and Zendaya’s ability to handle the spotlight and have a happy union.

Zendaya flaunted a diamond-encrusted ring on her ring finger at the 2025 Golden Globes Awards, sparking buzz as people wondered if Tom popped the question.

Shortly after, it was confirmed that the lovebirds were indeed engaged, and information about how the “Avengers” star planned the proposal has since emerged, with her father the latest to share.

Dominic shared his joy at how Tom and Zendaya have handled the public attention their relationship has garnered in a January 10 Patreon post.

According to E! Newshe wrote: “I fear that their combined celebrity will amplify their attention and corresponding demands on them and yet they continually confound me by handling everything with aplomb.”

The proud father, who shares Tom, 28, and brothers Harry and Sam, 25, and Paddy, 20, with his wife, Nicki Holland, thinks the ‘Spider-Man’ star has the perfect plan to follow thanks to him and Nicki. 30 years of marriage.

He wrote: “Even though show business is a complicated place for relationships and especially for famous couples who crash and burn in public and are too numerous to mention, with us as an example, with Nikki at the helm of this family and my “wisdom” at my fingertips and a study in how to do things that are mostly wrong and yet at the same time, somehow, I am completely convinced that they will make a successful union.”

There’s been a lot of talk about how Tom took his time planning his proposal to Zendaya, with insiders revealing he proposed to the actress’ father, Kazembe Ajamu Coleman, months ago.

Dominic shared more information about how his eldest son meticulously planned his proposal.

“He bought a ring,” Dominic explained. “He had spoken with his father and gotten permission to propose to his daughter. Tom had it all planned out… When, where, how, what to say, what to wear…”

After Tom and Zendaya’s engagement was confirmed, an insider said PEOPLE Magazine that the 28-year-old had been keen to propose “for a while now”.

The source also said, “He’s always been crazy about her. He always knew she was the one. They have something very special.”

Tom’s intentions for Zendaya were reportedly so clear that everyone close to them “knew the engagement was happening,” even if they didn’t know exactly when it would happen.

Although Tom and Zendaya are in no rush to get married, sources close to the lovebirds revealed that they are ready to take the next step in their relationship and consider “starting a family” as soon as they tie the knot.

A close source told the outlet: “The proposal was sweet and romantic and happened over the holidays. He did it the old-fashioned way and got permission from his parents. Everyone is thrilled.”

The source continued: “She got everything she dreamed of and marrying Tom and starting a family is next on her list.”

TMZ reported that the “Spider-Man: No Way Home” co-stars got tattoos at a Boston, Massachusetts, tattoo business a day before Thanksgiving.

According to the outlet, the couple received small and discreet inks, with Zendaya getting a “T” on her ribcage, while Tom got a “Z” tattoo in the same spot.

The tabloid also claimed that Zendaya’s mother accompanied them to their tattoo appointment and received her own little ink.
