The PGA commissioner wants the American president to negotiate an agreement with the Golf Breakaway Liv in the hope of ending the sports partition at a professional level.

The PGA Tour asked President Donald Trump to help negotiate an agreement with the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF) which could lead to a long -awaited alliance between the parties.

The PIF is the donor of the Liv Golf League, which attracted some of the stars of the PGA Tour with its large contracts and its tournament salaries.

In a statement published Thursday, the PGA Tour said that Commissioner Jay Monahan and players Adam Scott met Trump on Tuesday.

“We know that golf fans impatiently anticipate negotiations with the public investment fund and would like to thank President Trump for his interest and long -standing support for golf,” said the press release, which was Signed by Monahan, Scott and Player-Director Tiger Woods.

The only real news of last year came in June, when the governor of Pif Yasir al-Rumayyan met representatives of PGA Tour in New York the anniversary of the framework agreement.

Trump has standing and credibility with the founders of VIV.

His Trump National Doral Golf Club in Miami is organizing an event in April, as he did in 2023. That year, Trump’s lessons in Washington, DC, and Bedminster, NJ, also organized Liv events.

Trump said on Tuesday that he would soon visit the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia, although no exact date has been announced.
