A United Airlines Flight went to Newark, New Jersey, landed safely at Washington International Airport Dulles on Thursday after the crew reported a fire in the cabin.
United Airlines Flight 1513, which transported 98 passengers and five crew members, landed safely at Washington International Airport Dulles Around 4:45 p.m. Local time on Thursday, according to a statement from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The Boeing 737 left Key West International Airport in Florida and went to Newark Liberty International Airport.
A spokesperson for United Airlines told Fox Business that the plane landed in DC to “investigate the slight escape of smoke from a kitchen oven”.

All passengers were normally moving to the door and the airline arranged for another plane to take the passengers to Newark on Thursday evening, according to United Airlines.
FAA officials said the agency would investigate.

The plane received an “on -board alert” that another plane was nearby, and the air controllers issued corrective instructions to both planes, according to the FAA.

NTTSB officials said they were aware of a “loss of separation” between the plane shortly after takeoff from DCA.
Two pilots, three on -board agents and 131 passengers were aboard the Delta flight.
Delta officials said that the driving crew had followed the instructions in the traffic alert and the collision avoidance system, according to training and procedures.
The FAA said it would investigate the incident.
