The boss of Arsenal, Mikel Arteta, says that his team played well in the 1-1 draw with Manchester United but could have easily lost.
The Gunners retaliated for the bottom purpose after Bruno Fernandes scored a free kick on the half-time.
Declan Rice wrapped a beautiful strike in the post before silencing the crowd at Old Trafford, but the second row team of the Premier League was to be satisfied with a point.
And there was a huge chance for the hosts to win him at the end of the match, but for a safeguard of David Raya, not his first in the afternoon.
Speaking after the match, Arteta said: “When we had the first half that we had where we were exceptional, we did not test the goalkeeper.
“We had incredible situations, but we did not get the last blow or the last pass. We did not capitalize, we precipitated the game, we started to lose duels and we could have ended up losing it.
“The execution must be in the right player and the right player to shoot. How we conceded [chances] At times, was not acceptable. They have so much quality and choose the right player and normally it would end with a goal.
“We opened the door to lose the match. There was no chance to lose the match and we opened it ourselves. I will defend my players all the time, but in these moments, we must do better. »»
“It was a bit of stupidity on our part.”

Rice echoes the thoughts of his manager, admitting that they played well in the spells, but ultimately the draw was a fair result.
The midfielder of England added that although Arsenal is now sitting at 15 points behind Liverpool in the title race, they will continue to push until the end of the season.
He said: “In the first half, we had beautiful playing plays but did not have this point. In the second half, we were very naive and almost gave the match to Man United. To return to the game and mark and continue to push. This is probably a good point at the end.
“We scored seven in the middle of the week and it’s not lucky. The PSV had not lost his house for two years. Man United did well and sat well in the low block. It can take 90 minutes to break down this. There was not much in the game.
“I haven’t seen the goal. I felt like the ball flew over us at a low height. He [the wall for the free-kick] felt far back. Anthony [Taylor] is the arbitrator, he makes this decision.
“I was happy. I think it’s a bit of football jokes between me and the fans. It is an area that I want to continue to enter and I created more chances. I need to continue to add goals. The manager wants to play eight number to add goals and assists.
“Luck at the end with Bruno and David producing two big stops, which is why I say this naivety. It was for us and we could have rejected the game.
“As the manager said, we will continue until the end of the season. Liverpool was incredible all year round. We are Arsenal. We were hardly affected by injuries. We will continue and we will go well.
