THE Christmas time is here, and with it, the Epic Games Store has stepped up its usual weekly offering of free games to bring you a new game every day for free. On Christmas Day, the award-winning film Control was up for grabs. The day after Christmas? The same publisher, 505 Games, has another title – until 8 a.m. PT (11 a.m. ET) on Friday, December 27. The next day, a racing game like no other.
Much like Steam, which is owned by Valve, Epic’s platform gives players access to a vast library of great games, from indie hits to big-budget blockbusters. Whether you like action-packed adventures, deep RPGs, or cute indie games, there’s something for everyone. If you have a solid gaming PC, you can dive into a wide variety of experiences on the Epic Games Store, where you’ll find a ton of great free games and nice discounts on popular titles.
The Epic Games Store has been giving away free games every week since 2019, meaning you’ll never run out of games to play. Regardless of which display case you use, the general rule is to never look a gift horse in the mouth when it comes to discounts and offers — and don’t ignore the gifts. So if you are not already a registered user, we recommend that you create an account so that you can download a new game every week.

We don’t yet know what the next game will be on the Epic Games Store. It usually announces it in advance, but Epic has decided to shroud next week’s free game in mystery – which often means it will be a great game.

To get free games on the Epic Store every week, you need to register and create an account.
To register as a user on the Epic Store, first go to the Epic Games website. In the upper right corner, click the icon Log in button then Create an account at the bottom of the page.
The Epic Store is different from Steam, so games you own on the Epic Store will not be available on Steam. If you want to play free games that you downloaded from the Epic Store, you need to play them through Epic’s launcher.
