BNC; MAXIMUMNoah Wyle is “not sorry” to play a new doctor on The Pitt instead of reprising his role as John Carter in a now abandoned film emergency awakening.
After The Pitt premiered on Thursday, January 9, Wyle, 53, was asked about how he plans to bring back emergency finally transformed into a whole new show instead.

More than a decade later emergency finished, Wyle returned as a star and executive producer of a new medical series on Max. The Pitt is described by the streaming service as “a realistic examination of the challenges facing healthcare workers in today’s America, seen through the lens of frontline heroes working in a modern hospital in Pittsburgh.”
The Pitt highlights the highs – and lows – of the job while ensuring that the 15 episodes feature 15 hours of one team.

Wyle found it “really rewarding” to be able to bring a new medical drama to life.
“I wanted it to feel like what it felt like before – and like it hadn’t felt in a long time. Can we make this feel again? John and Yana Grebenyuk R.Scott [Gemmill] agreed to this because they too were looking for that feeling that all of us [last] we did it 15 years ago, when we first did it,” he continued. “The work was enjoyable, we had a good time, we loved each other while we did it and everyone was respectful. It was inclusive and revolutionary. And we wanted to see if lightning could strike twice – and, in a way, it already has.
