While some AI tools, like ChatGPT advanced voice mode And Google NotebookLMwere pleasant to interact with, the dominant discourse remained about the inherent flaws of the technology, with widespread hallucinations and constant questions about the proper training of data.

I mean, who could forget Jesus shrimp and other surreal AI-generated images spreading on Facebook? Or when AI Overviews told Google users it was okay to eat rocks in moderation as well as put glue on pizza? It was a year where bizarre AI-generated content was everywhere.
