Shark Tank India Season 4 continues to bring bold ideas and negotiations with high issues on the screen. On March 7, the entrepreneurs based in Chandigarh, Dheeraj Nagpal and Sachin Goel, presented their startup, Zingavita Ayurveda, hoping to change the perceptions of wellness products based on Shilajit.
Presenting their range – including the Himalayan pure shilajit, Shilajit honey, effervescent tablets and coffee – the duo aimed to break the stereotype according to which Shilajit is only for the sexual well -being of men. They asked for 1 investment drums for 1.25% equity.
Zingavita, based in Gurugram, is a high quality supplement based on modern Ayurveda. Its products are pure Himalaya Shilajit and Shilajit products are resin tablets, effervescent in flavors like Elaychi and Cola, honey and coffee. It helps users to be healthy and adapt.
While the Sharks examined the products, Ritesh Agarwal was the first to comment, which raises concerns concerning the high price. Vineeta Singh inquired about consumption, while Aman Gupta, brandishing the products, joked: “AAP N’Sab Shilajit Banaye Hain, Shilajit, Shilajit …” (You did everything from Shilajit). When he was asked to try honey shilajit, he laughed and refused, saying: “Ye Humein Nahi Zarorat” (I don’t need it).
The founders defended their approach, citing the success of the product in the United States as a reason for growing demand in India. However, Namita Thapar was not impressed by their lack of clinical tests. Kunal Bahl pointed out “Aapko Lagta Hain Ye Saman Bik Raha Hai Market Toh Hum Bhi Bech Le” (so you thought the product is sold on the market, let’s also sell the same product).
Despite their efforts, neither their land nor their number convinced the Sharks and they did not leave without agreement.
