Paul Scholes says that Manchester United must sign at least five players “with a little quality” or face the possibility of relegating the Premier League next season.
United is the 13th of the painting currently, but with the new Boss Ruben Amorim having little impression and the team full of players apparently not good enough for the rigors of the elite of England, Scholes thinks that a summer overhaul is necessary.
The Red Devils spent heavily last summer, but only Leny Yoro can be considered a decent signature – and the jury remains on him due to injury problems – with Joshua Zirkzee and Matthijs de Ligt who fight to note.

And Scholes is afraid, another rehearsal in 2025 could cause disastrous consequences.
United lacks a solid spine – Scholes
The former midfielder of United and England told the debate of overlapping fans: “There are a few things that are worrying. There are a lot of things that he [Amorim] Must do, we all know, especially in transfer windows, but I don’t see a core of players.
“When you look at the teams, you directly watch the spine of a team. Liverpool: Large goalkeeper, large central half, attackers, field environments, whatever. I don’t think United has none of this in a position.
“I think that a new goalkeeper is necessary, maybe two halves in the center, two midfielders in the center and two central attackers.
“Very well, I’m going to go for a central midfielder and a center forward, but with a little stature, a little quality and create a spine. When you have this spine correctly, you can add bits.
